Interceptor Crash - Donkey Kong Land 3 - GBC

Describe the bug
Interceptor resets in Donkey Kong Land 3 when entering the Save File Menu from the Title Screen

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Start up Donkey Kong Land 3 and press "Start", "A" or "B"

Host software (please complete the following information):

• OS: Windows 10 22H2, ChromeOS 137.0.7151.123 on board Corsola/Magneton
• Software: OBS, ChromeOS Camera App

Game Boy:

• Model: CGB-001

Game:

• Title: Donkey Kong Land 3
• Version: Sadly the sticker is too far gone to recognize but it should be "DMG-AD3P-EUR"

Additional context
I don't have any safe files but I don't think it does any difference, tested on v1.2.0 and 1.1.0
On 1.1.0 it displayed that an error or mistake occured, dont exactly remember it and didnt take note of it as I thought an upgrade would fix it
I also had some different region DKL3 rom preloaded on a fake everdrive flashcart and there it did behave the same.

Thanks for reporting this. I am surprised that noboody reported this before. I will look into it, but it might be a while. My hobby stuff is currently piling up, but I certainly intent to look after the Interceptor.

I recently got a DMG and decided to test it on there which resulted in no issues, therefor I can confidently say that the issue is only related to the GameBoy Color and probably Advance aswell

Sorry it took so long to get around to this. I am now finally looking into fixing some game-specific stuff during the holidays.

Unfortunately, I am having some trouble to reproduce this. I can run various versions of Donkey Kong Land III on my EZ-Flash Jr., also on a GBC. I suspect that existing save games play a role here, but unfortunately the battery on my EZ Flash is dead, so until I get a replacement I cannot save the game. The flash cart that I have does not properly work with the game at all, even without the GB Interceptor.

You wrote that you could reproduce the problem on an Everdrive. Could you send me a hash of the ROM you used, so I can use the same version? Did it crash on the Everdrive before you created any save games?
