Config Management

Goal is to figure out if there are any crates that can help us with managing/parsing the config:

• Look for a better parsing library
• check if a predefined struct is more appropriate than the hashmap.
• improve the error handling in the config parsing (Check for enum sizes for example)
• Check if we can dynamically generate the channel_masks
