User cannot add date first.

# Expected Behavior
The user is able to add date or image first and it will show up on the bottom of the screen
## Actual Behavior
The user adds a date first and nothing shows up.

## Steps to Reproduce the Problem

1. Click calendar button.
2. Choose a date.
3. you should see the view on the bottom of the screen fail to display.
