[BUG] Subtasks not working with gpt-5-codex #8402

Problem (one or two sentences)
When a subtask returns, I expect that the launcher of the subtask (gpt-5-codex) is able to read its results. It is not.
Context (who is affected and when)
gpt-5-codex says "Can you update me on the results of the Ask mode?" when the search is completed
Reproduction steps
Latest RooCode (3.28.9), gpt-5-codex. Start a subtask, wait for results. gpt-5-codex cannot read the results.
Expected result
gpt-5-codex can read subtask results
