Accessing the microphone on startup is jarring #3112

On startup rocket chat starts listening to the microphone which is displayed in the tray and causes some volume level to pop up. It feels rather jarring and not expected for that to happen just because I launch rocketchat. My first thought when I saw that was: What app is spying on me? And then once I figured out it was rocket chat it was: why?
I guess this is related to #3036 which introduced a startup routine to "get media permissions"
Describe the solution you'd like
It's just weird IMO and should only happen when media features are actually needed. I've never seen any other chat app on windows behave this way and on android I also would be confused if once I launch an app I got the "some app is listening to the microphone" dot even though nothing was happening
