I struggle to maintain 60 fps texture updates, despite Unity steadily rendering at 60 fps. I'll get periods of stability, then missed/doubled frames and periods of 30fps, before it settles back down on its own but eventually repeating. OBS experiences a similar issue, but enabling Buffering on the video capture source addresses it at the small cost of latency (perfectly fine in my case).

I see buffers mentioned in the docs and buffers mentioned in the code, but "buffering" can have different meanings, so I thought I'd ask. The buffer code that I can see seems to be related more to format conversion.

Is there anything in this plugin that's similar to OBS's buffering feature, favoring smooth timing over latency? If not, I'd like to request it as a feature.

Asking before I bother trying to put together any detailed bug report and repro case.
