$register does not check if a slot exists

**Describe the bug**
$register doesn't check if a slot exists and registers arbitrary names. $ketchmeup doesn't throw any errors in this case, but will always return no items for that slot. This can be confusing if eg. someone uses $register but just types their slotname in all lowercase.

**Expected behavior**
A user-facing error message when the slot doesn't exist
