See video for demonstration; The shockwave created by the orange asteroid appears like it should have a hitbox that starts like a dot and gradually expands outwards. However, the hitbox actually seems to start at its maximum radius from the moment the dot appears. I've had a few moments in games where I couldn't quite tell what even hit me, but this time I got it on recording to be able to actually tell what happened.
As for the recording itself, it was my first run to test out the new Endless Mode scaling. It functions somewhat, but I think the asteroids' damage needs to scale as well, not just their HP. If I didn't die to this surprise I probably would have been able to keep going for much longer, as the heal-on-hit Evos function even if you don't kill the asteroid you're shooting at.
