Model host with two effectors from different pathogen (PMID:40872185)

I just encounter this one paper where NLP (from Colletotrichum higginsianum) and BAS3 (from Magnaporthe oryzae) are expressed in a tobacco leaf. We couldn't combine NLP and BAS3 yet. @Hsinyugithub Does the phenotype here occur only when NLP and BAS3 are expressed on the same leaf at the same time? If the answer is no, then they could be modelled as two separate annotations.

If the answer is yes, then I'm not really sure what to suggest right now. The most obvious solution is is to allow metagenotypes to combine genotypes from more than one pathogen species, but that will be a major piece of work since it will require changes to the user interface and the database schema.

I wonder if there are previous examples of curation sessions that have tried to curate co-expression on a tobacco leaf? If not, I think we'll have to consider this carefully as a team.

Unfortunately, it's the later (combine genotypes from more than one pathogen species). I will see if I can find more cases.
