Hi!

This message means that the ipp-usb scanned the entire range of the local TCP ports and failed to allocate (to listen to) one.

The ports range is defined by the configuration file (/etc/ipp-usb/ipp-usb.conf) by the http-min-port and the http-max-port and the default range is 60000...65535, inclusively. Large enough.

So looks like either the configuration file was edited at your machine, or something is fundamentally broken in the TCP/IP stack.

Please, show me the content of the /etc/ipp-usb/ipp-usb.conf file in your installation.

I'm not very familiar with the Snap. Can you help, please?

Looks like the ipp-usb cannot listen() to the TCP port while being running in the Snap.

It creates the AF_INET6 socket, tries to binds to the [::]:NNN address (IPv6 address with zero IP part and address in range 60000-65535), then listens.

I use the AF_INET6 socket not bound to any particular IP address, because it gives me the single universal listening socket that can accept both IPv4 and IPv6 connections, which is noticeably simpler that to use multiple listening sockets.

Can it be that IPv6 networking is disabled within the Snap?
