Feature request: Wake Stream Deck from sleep

There is currently no official API to wake Stream Deck devices from sleep. No "Wake all Stream Deck devices" action either. So users who have multiple devices have to press a button on each device to wake it, or open and close the Stream Deck application to wake all.

StreamDeckSharp would probably be able to provide an API to wake devices, if the wake device message can be reverse engineered.
Do you see a chance to provide this functionality?

It depends if the firmware of the devices even support that.

Do you have a way (like for example with the official Stream Deck software) to wake one of your devices without touching a device? If that's the case and you can describe how you do it, it's probably not that hard to implement it in StreamDeckSharp.

I see the following challenges:

1. I don't even know if the firmware of the devices support it

   • It might be possible to reverse engineer the actual firmware of the devices, but I don't really have the time to do that, it's also a bit more difficult than just replaying commands we know exist/work and how they are structured.
   • We could try to "fuzz" the protocol by sending random bytes and see if something wakes the device, this is very unfeasible IMHO.

2. If no official tooling depends on that behavior Elgato might change/break it which would cause regressions in StreamDeckSharp.
   This is unlikely for commands that the official Stream Deck software uses, because they would also break their own software (at least for people that don't use the latest firmware).

So in short, do you know that's even possible (supported by the firmware)? And if so, do you have a way of waking the device through the official Stream Deck software (doesn't have to be an official API, just some steps in the Stream Deck software that would wake a device)?

Thanks for your reply. Opening the minimized Stream Deck software (or clicking the system tray icon to bring it up when the Stream Deck software is hidden) wakes all devices. To do this the software would have to send a signal through the USB connection that can probably be reverse engineered and replicated in StreamDeckSharp.
