[makes it unusable!] Playhead cannot be repositioned

FrameTrail is an incredible project, I even suggested it on Stack Exchange! Unfortunately I came to terms with a show-stopping issue while playing back media: if I try to scrub, the playhead will just go back to the position it was in before, so the only way to move to that part of the video is to press play and wait for it to reach that point.

That sounds very much like you're using invalid, corrupt or just not web suitable video files. Are you having the same issues with the examples: https://github.com/OpenHypervideo/FrameTrail-Examples, like https://openhypervideo.github.io/FrameTrail-Examples/zoom-in-on-dna/ or ? That would be a good way to find out if you're having browser issues or video format issues.
