Bug description

Migrate to Ackpine for package installation/uninstallation

When you try and update an app through Morphe manager you get package conflict and the update won't install. If you save the patched app it will update without any issues

Version of Morphe (Manager) and the app you are patching

Morphe 1.16 dev3. All updated apps are affected

Morphe logs

No error logs just package conflict when trying to update

Still the same unfortunately. If i press the install button after patching it fails to install with a package conflict error. If I save the patched app and then install it manually it updates/installs fine

I can't reproduce this, so I don't yet understand why the signature conflict error occurs.
Maybe logs are needed.

Export your sign, patch selections and manager settings and try clearing the manager data and then importing everything back. Maybe this will solve the problem.

If the problem were global, then all users would write about it, but so far I see only 2 users with this problem. It is very difficult to guess about the reasons without having any data in hand

Don't understand it myself tbh. I can install the patched app manually but if morphe trys to install it i get a package conflict? Make's zero sense

Can you try backing up your signing key and settings, clear Morphe Manager app data, then import signing/settings and try again?

Now the manager checks the signature before the signature conflict itself occurs.

This is done because the system dialog will offer to update the application but will not be able to do this if the signatures are different.

I still don't understand why this not works for you, because I can't reproduce it myself.

I've just patched adguard (an app i didn't have installed). It patched and installed fine. I then repatched the app without changing anything at all, tried to install the update and then package conflict again 😕

What phone and version OS do you have?

I have a pixel 10 fold running latest android 16 with latest security patch

The issue only started with morphe 1.16 dev3 which is why I think it's related to the new package management

The issue happens with both native package installer and shizuku install.

I've wiped cache from morphe manager no luck and will wipe data from morphe next but really would like to know what is causing this

I tried to fix it and added logging. Wait for the next dev release, if the problem persists, collect logs during the package conflict and post here
