I've just had the same problem.
On a Poco phone.

Thought it was just a glitch and so after a third try I think I accidentally pressed on "Huawei" when adding my account.
... and that made it work.
Though I don't think pressing Huawei is the right solution... more like a luck + stuff idk about.

I confirm login doesn't work for me either. OnePlus 15, OOS 16

It was fine like 2 weeks ago, but now I get the same error message as above

Edit: tried the Huawei route, still no success

I was able to login by these steps.

1. uninstall 6.1.0 version
2. download and install 6.0.0 version
3. Sign in
4. Update to 6.1.0

Thanks, downgrading to 6.0.0 works. I think I'll stay on 6.0.0 until a new release comes out

Based on @BlazingRiser method, here's what exactly worked for me:

1. Uninstall 6.1.0 MicroG-RE version
2. Download and install 6.0.0 MicroG-RE version
3. If modified Morphe YT/YTM app is already installed, force stop and clean data. Otherwise, Google sign in may fail again on 6.0.0 (It failed for me)
4. After data clean, try sign in and it should work (It worked for me this way)
5. Updated MicroG-RE to 6.1.0
6. Working well for now

I'm using a Light Phone 3, and this device runs on a ASOP not google certificate, and for me i could only connect to my account when i take huawei when i choice the other one i get authorization error. So i think for me there not other way then choice then huawei....

I couldn't sign in until I turned on "Display over other apps" for MicroG RE, try it out and see if that works for you

Fyi on a Samsung S24 Ultra, this bug was fixed by downgrading to 6.0.0 and switching the Register Device profile to "Emulator - arm64_v8a"

i have an s23 ultra, all the options above did not work for me. what did work for me was using the old gmscore apk that was recommended in the revanced install. i can now use morphe but with the old gmscore apk. im not sure how itll affect the use/features of the morphe app but figured id post the method that worked for me.

Holy crap... After an hour of trying, I have finally managed to figure it out. All I had to do was: Uninstall latest version of microg. Install version 6.0.0. Disable 2fa in Google account settings. Grant literally every permission in microg settings. I couldn't even find the microg settings, I had to go to app info, and there it was. Annoying hidden feature, that makes it hard for ordinary users to find necessary settings. I then granted display over apps permission, which was initially disabled, thanks Google 💫🔥💯. I then had to sign in with my username, without the @gmailcom. I think I may have even had to use Huawei sign in. This actually sucks, I will never do this again. Edit: important, you have to set device registration to profile emulator arm64 Android 13 or something like that
