TransitScreens is an experimental project from the Mobility Lab: Digital screens showing real-time transit arrivals and Capital Bikeshare availability.

In real time, the web server queries each transit agency for the arrival predictions for selected stops, then relays the data to the screens.

This project is only possible thanks to open data and APIs from our transit agencies.

There are instructions for setting up a local TransitScreens hacking environment on a Mac.
