Who is using WebView2?

Is there a list of WebView2 users? Perhaps an "Awesome Edge WebView2" list or a showcase?

and a random question... why didn't you guys update UWP and win32 WebViews to use Edge? They're stuck using EdgeHTML/Spartan and Internet Explorer/Trident...

We are currently in the process of integrating WebView2 for UWP platforms. As we discover the work items, we will have a better timeline to share regarding it's availability and transition.

...you mean in WinUI for UWP (WinUI 2)? Yes, I'm aware of those efforts. But my (irrelevant) question is, why do developers have to update their applications to use WebView2? Why can't it just replace EdgeHTML and IE webviews instead of being a third webview technology?

@victorthoang Sorry for repeating what @Poopooracoocoo said, but is Microsoft going to do anything about the many pre-existing apps that use EdgeHTML and IE webviews? Some big examples: Roblox, Fortnite, Xbox Game Bar.

Hey folks - we don't currently have any plans to change existing controls (WebView(1)/WebBrowser/WebOC, etc) to use WebView2 or Edge/V8 at this time. This would create a huge app compatibility problem. WebView2 is quite different from those other controls, and so our policy is to have apps choose to switch or adopt WebView2. For newer UI frameworks, like WinUI 3, WebView2 is the default web control.

I think having a list of showcase apps could be a neat idea! I've added this to our backlog :) Thanks!

Oops, sorry for going off topic.
Looks like I've misunderstood something: Trident is still supported and will receive updates at least until 2029.
Would you guys consider reaching out to big developers such as the ones I mentioned so they can use WebView2?

Edge WebView2 is not awesome at all, it is quite painful to port WebBrowser to WebView2 on WinForms. Love WebBrowser for its simplicity & consistency.
