Are there similar/alternative software titles available with DietPi-Software?

No.

How can DietPi make the installation easier or compatible, than following the install instructions or do APT installation, if available?

There is no APT Package available and the original unforked xteve is buggy and too complicated to install and run for normal users.

DietPi can automate:
Installing and enabling the required services and dependencies in one step.
Replacing the manual steps aligning with DietPi-Software’s purpose (“ready to run … automates installation and configuration”).
