Question about caching-docker-images

When I follow this guide I got aside effect: I can't push to dockerhub. I have to disable cache to push to dockerhub.
How you with it?

Ha interesting. I don't push much to Docker hub so I never got this (it's always my CI which do so).

What if you prepend your namespace/image with docker.io? Like so:

$ docker push docker.io/iav/my-image

Another solution would be to not make the caching register the default one, and explicitly pull from it (so not changing the /etc/docker/daemon.json file) and doing this when pulling:

$ docker pull localhost:5000/nginx

But that ask to prepend everything with localhost:5000 (like every compose file, etc.)

Please not that I did not test those, so you may have to fiddle a bit to find a working solution ^^
