Installing as a Python Library with C++ Extensions

Hi all!

I'm not well versed using terminal commands and I'm having troubles installing this tool. Whenever I try to run ./autobuild --install-python I get the error

• checking for __gmpz_init in -lgmp... no
  and then I get the final error:
• configure: error: GNU MP is missing on this system. Please install GNU MP and try again.
  Although I believe that I installed GNU MP correctly and even ran a make check afterwards. I installed the last version available at https://gmplib.org/. Does anyone experienced this error and/or knows how to fix it?
