Is it possible to add the ability to send spray command?
Would be nice to add automation for when it should spray the room :)

A sensor to trigger a spray duration of X milliseconds / seconds

Yes, it's planned. This feature will arrive at the same time as "local" communication via Bluetooth.

+1 on that feature request. This (the possibility to add the spray as standalone device) was actually the main reason for me to switch to your integration.

I plan to make the spray spray after the cat used the toilet for a specific time using automations.

Is there anything we as owners of such a spray (and a cat litterbox) can do to help you implementing it? I am not a python dev but maybe there is some testing or lgging that can be done
