Hey @stonerl, thanks for reaching out! I had not heard about your emulator, but it looks like you got awesome performance out of it, nice job! I tried using ITCM in the past, but the MPU disallowed memory accesses to it, maybe this has changed since the Playdate OS version 2.6.2? It's really cool you can now take advantage of the ITCM and DTCM.

No sure if this was a limitation before, I don't think so. My partner in crime was able to figure *TCM handling out, with the help of some other amazing devs. I think she already contacted you via email. She also wrote a very nice post on the Playdate forum about C optimization.

But thank you. Getting CrankBoy to perform as it does now was quite a journey and I'm happy that we were able to pull this off. Especially that we were able to get audio working w/o any compromises.
