Commercial Licensing

Interceptor is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0 (ELv2).

What ELv2 lets you do for free

  • Use Interceptor inside your own organization, including for internal business automation and workflows — at any scale, indefinitely.
  • Modify the source code for your own use.
  • Distribute Interceptor and your modifications to third parties, as long as you pass these license terms along.
  • Build internal tools, scripts, and agents on top of Interceptor.

What requires a commercial license

A commercial license from Hacker Valley Media, LLC is required if you want to:

  • Provide Interceptor (or a substantially similar derivative) to third parties as a hosted or managed service — i.e. operate Interceptor on their behalf and let them access its features.
  • Embed Interceptor into a product you sell, lease, or license to others where Interceptor is a substantial part of the value.
  • Rebrand or white-label Interceptor as your own offering.
  • Remove, alter, or work around the licensing or copyright notices.

If you're not sure whether your use case requires a commercial license, ask.
