Occasional freezing when looking at gregtech machines

Pack version 1.14.2, and I'm running NixOS 25.05.

Occasionally when I'm looking at gregtech machines, and I think especially chemical reactors though I'm not sure about that, the energy bar at the top will go out of bounds and my game will freeze while my CPU gets really active. Sometimes it unfreezes but it usually doesn't
