Slow first time image loading

Hi!

I am facing very slow image loading for floorplan. It takes about 6-9 seconds for image to appear in a card. SVG file is small, just few KB.

I have tried different SVG files as input, with and without rules, the loading time is approx the same.

Any ideas?

You can look at the browser dev tools to see what is slow in loading. It could be a lot of different things causing this.

You could also use the cache: true option to try and speed up the subsequent loading if that is the problem.

Maybe… grab a CSS from one of the examples and copy and paste it into yours and see what happens…

It's possible to create a performance report in Chrome, and make a breakdown of each execution (if you're still facing any problems 😊)

Today I moved from UI mode to YAML mode (basically because in UI mode I could't use !include for views and cards, so it was hard to organise code) and I am not facing the same problem anymore. And now I have leading slash for stylesheet location as it should be.

I had the same issue, I just had to remove the leading / in my css path and the SVG now loads 12 seconds earlier 🤷
