System Section

The system section holds basic SIP configuration options needed for proper operation.

System Name

Enter a unique descriptive name for the system. Naming the system is useful when working with several controllers. When the system name has been changed from the default (SIP) it will be displayed in the page header.

Location

Enter a city, postal code, or GPS coordinates. It is not currently used by the core SIP software but it may be helpful when working with multiple controllers.

Language

The language option can change the language used in the web interface

  1. Click the downward arrow at the right of the language field to display a list of available languages.
  2. Click the language you wish to use in the interface.
  3. Click the Submit Changes button at the bottom of the page.

After restarting, the UI will appear in the chosen language.

24-hour clock

Un check the box to select the 12 hour, AM/PM format.

HTTP port

Enter the port number you wish to use, e.g. 8080.
80 is the default for web pages. If the port number has been changed you will need to add a colon (:) followed by the new port number to SIP's URL to reconnect.

HTTP IP address

The default supports both IPv4 and IPv6. It should not need to be changed.

Use pigpio

Allows SIP to use the pigpio library if it is installed instead of the default RPi.GPIO library.

Water scaling

This is a global % adjustment of scheduled irrigation times. It can also be changed on the home page using the Water Level button and by plugins.
