I have dreamt for many years of no-std .ogg / .opus support from Rust. Is this now possible?

In the future - should be possible, but not right now. In the near future will probably require alloc (what is alloca in the upstream code uses Vec in the conversion), but should be possible to do even with fixed buffers

Oh my gosh, I'd be happy to use any sort of (safe) fixed-length container, if that let me put this, e.g., on a RP Pico or somesuch.

Fwiw, I feel that the memory safety is a long way off right now. There's a lot of functions to comb through. The testing infra is also lacking to accomplish that currently.

@DCNick3 Oh, no. I mean like an array or somesuch that I'm reading samples from / writing bytes to. (e.g. &[u8]) Of course, the core lib will take ages to fix, given its original form. :P
