Ubuntu DEb installed - launcher fails

"Crunch2" (with quotes) appears under the programing menu but nothing happens when clicked.

From CLI :

crunch2
No command 'crunch2' found, did you mean:
 Command 'crunch' from package 'crunch' (universe)
crunch2: command not found

• it's not crunch (either version 1 or a different program)

Confirmed on Mint 18 Sarah 64-bit, Exactly the same problem and message

So. A workaround
Open "/opt/Crunch2" in terminal (this is where it gets installed)
Type "sudo ./Crunch2"

Works as root. Any chance we can fix this so it works 'out of the box'?

Tried both the above. Neither work for me on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. HuwJanus's comment gives me a launched app, but with just a grey window and no menu items.

Try changing ownership of /opt/Crunch2 to your user:

sudo chown -R $(id -u -n):$(id -g -n) /opt/Crunch2/

I'm on Ubuntu16.04lts-xenial .

fix problem with changing ownership of /opt/Crunch2 to my user.

type in terminal : $sudo chown -R user:user /opt/Crunch2/
replace user by your login

type in terminal : $ ./Crunch\ 2

and enjoy it ;)
