BakkesModSetup.exe won't run

I'm somewhat new to Linux, and am now using Linux Mint 22.0. When I try to run BakkesModSetup.exe with this command: WINEPREFIX=/home/oem/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/rocketleague /home/oem/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl/config/heroic/tools/wine/lutris-ge/bin/wine64 ~/Downloads/BakkesModSetup.exe it gives this code / error: wineserver: using server-side synchronization. wine: RLIMIT_NICE is <= 20, unable to use setpriority safely 002c:fixme:winediag:LdrInitializeThunk wine-staging 8.0 is a testing version containing experimental patches. 002c:fixme:winediag:LdrInitializeThunk Please mention your exact version when filing bug reports on winehq.org. 006c:fixme:hid:handle_IRP_MN_QUERY_ID Unhandled type 00000005 006c:fixme:hid:handle_IRP_MN_QUERY_ID Unhandled type 00000005 006c:fixme:hid:handle_IRP_MN_QUERY_ID Unhandled type 00000005 006c:fixme:hid:handle_IRP_MN_QUERY_ID Unhandled type 00000005 0080:err:hid:udev_bus_init UDEV monitor creation failed /lib/ld-linux.so.2: could not open Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specifie d file. Actually I sort of lied, the VERY first time I ran the code, BakkesModSetup.exe ran for a few seconds, and then crashed and wouldn't launch again. My apologies.

I presume this part of the log is the problem but I didn't find anything conclusive while searching for it.

You might want to try using wine instead of wine64 in case it's some 64-bit vs 32-bit thing or try using a different version of wine (run Rocket League with it first so the prefix gets upgraded and then try it with BakkesModSetup.exe but both of these are just shots in the dark on my part :/

You might also want to try to use the Run On Prefix feature (Library -> Rocket League -> Settings -> Run On Prefix) and run BakkesModSetup.exe through that.

Also are you using the Flatpak version of Heroic?

When I use wine instead, it gives bash: /home/oem/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl/config/heroic/tools/wine/lutris-ge/bin/wine: cannot execute: required file not found I think that's why I tried wine64 but I don't remeber. How would I go about using a different version of Wine? Also, I don't see a Run On Prefix option is Rocket League settings. I am using the Flatpak version on Heroic, I forgot to include that.

I can't really test BakkesMod on Heroic since I'm running NixOS and dynamically linked libraries work differently there so I can't run BakkesMod like this either but that's NixOS' fault afaik.

One thing that I've noticed is that you're using lutris-ge version of Wine (judging from the wine path). When using Wine-GE-latest I have both wine and wine64 binaries available to me.

You can install other versions of Wine in the Wine Manager tab.

To use the Run on Prefix feature or change the version of Wine with which you run Rocket League go to Library then click on Rocket League. You should see the same thing as in the screenshot above.

Then click on the settings button.

Now you should see something like this:

You can see (and set) the Wine version you're using and also the Wine prefix used for Rocket League.

And if you scroll down enough you should see Run exe on Prefix

This helped a lot! But now I'm running into another issue. I was able to install Bakkes Mod, but when I run it its says it can't fins an active Rocket League installation. Ok, I did that and put the code in the rocketleague.info file, but I'm unsure how to start BakkesMod.exe, because when I try the code I did before, which is the same that the guide describes, if gives me the same kernel error: 0080:err:hid:udev_bus_init UDEV monitor creation failed wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135
Also, I was unsure if I should post this to this issue or the one you mentioned, so I just put it here.
