The below are a few requests regarding the API

@thepsalmist regarding switching API requests from HTTP to HTTPS

We have a couple of options using Cloudflare:

1. Use Flexible encryption mode (This would mean we don't touch anything on the backend, the downside is the communication between Cloudflare and the backend wont be encrypted).
2. Use Full (Strict) encryption mode: This would mean we need to issue a let's encrypt certificate and setup a cron job to renew it, this will definitely require more changes on the backend.
3. Use Full encryption mode (This would remove the need for setting up a cron job to renew an expired certificate)

Option 2 seems to be the most secure and aligns with best practices, though it requires a bit more effort.

@m453h the current configuration is Flexible mode, I remember when testing this out all requests to the api would fail (not sure why, though I didn't investigate further). But I'm sure we can try again
