Can't get device to appear as drive

I have HW 1.3, and can't get the device to show up as a drive on a Mac mini running Tahoe 26.5.1 (25F80). I've tried through a hub; does the hub need to be a USB-C hub? I've tried USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-C to USB-A, multiple cables....no dice.

Hi,
If you are already holding the BOOT button, then this issue is related to the layout of the hardware. If you have exhausted all known method, we highly recommend just borrowing a window device and quickly drag-and-drop the new firmware.

Still not working for me. I’m trying to upgrade the firmware, so maybe that’s the problem, the older firmware? I am indeed holding down the BOOT button while plugging in the power to the PocketPD. When I boot holding in the button through the hole, the screen stays black (gray) and the device doesn’t appear as a drive.
