Minimize window on Kwin + Wayland does not work for main dock

When I press the launcher (or an icon) on the main dock the window with the left click it fails to minimize.
This is not true however for the sub-docks, where the windows minimize properly.
In both cases however the "Representation" of minimized windows is false i.e. if I press the minimize from the window, it only shows the icon as transparent (edit: it seems that it works only for icons not launchers, don't know however if this is the expected behavior).

Please note:

• I unticked/ticked again the option "Minimise the window when its icon is clicked if it was already the active window" to ensure that nothing is "frozen/stuck"
• The windows are being properly maximized when clicking on the icon
• If I set the middle click action to minimize, then the window minimizes properly with middle click

Thanks, I just tried and can reproduce it. After an initial look, it seems that KWin is unsetting the currently activated window when I click on the dock, which confuses handling it (with left click, there is a check to ensure that the window is currently active, as normally that would activate that window). I do remember it working before, so I'm wondering if there was a recent change (although I don't remember when it was last working, I only occasionally test on KWin; do you happen to recall when it changed?)

I'll need to look into this a bit more to confirm and come up with a workaround if my initial understanding is correct.

Regarding the icons becoming transparent, if I understand correctly what you're saying, this is expected behavior, at least there is an option to set it like that :) (Advanced mode -> Taskbar -> Representation -> How to draw minimized windows) Or is it showing a transparent icon for non-minimized windows as well?

I can't remember when exactly they changed the behavior, but it's happening for the past 4 months more or less.
About the transparent icon, yes exactly that's what I am referring too, thanks for clarifying :). Indeed, the transparency only applies on minimize windows.

OK, that makes sense, it is entirely possible that I haven't noticed this before. I'll look into making a workaround and let you know if I need anything.
