Disc Not Being Read (Slim, SCPH-90006, DVD-R Disc)

I have tried absolutely everything but the PS2 is just stuck on reading disc. I bought a single writable DVD-R and burned it using a software from Arch Linux had no errors in the burning process whatsoever but the PS2 just doesn't read it.

CDs normally work (I had an old NFS Carbon one still works) but also don't show up in the browser and I tried replugging my controller, my memory card and leaving it for half an hour but no success

Would genuinely appreciate if anyone can tell what the issue is.

i have the same exact issu , did you figure out the reason why the process failed , i would appreciate it so much .. thanks
