[Technical Questions] Testing bluetooth connection on a simulator, real device needs "a development team" #156
-
In what area do you have a technical challenge?Xcode, Simulator & Previews DescriptionI want to try whether bluetooth connection feature works on my app, however I think simulators doesn't support that (Also mentioned in this discussion post). I connected my phone to test, but it asked me to have a "development team", and when i give my apple id, it didn't accept since "Personal development teams, including "Merve Cerit", do not support the Time Sensitive Notifications and Sign in with Apple capabilities." How should I proceed? @PSchmiedmayer

Yes! I did in fact. Yes, you are right you can't run the bluetooth scanning on the simulator because it does not have access to the proper part of the computer's stack I believe. For the development team, I actually ignored that and I was still able to run on my phone. Here is a screenshot of the same page for me :
I would also make sure that your iphone is in developer mode (look up developer mode in settings and enable). Let me know if these solutions work - if not I have a few more ideas it did take a little trial and error to get the phone up and connected.
