BlackRoad OS — Agent System

Named Agents

10 named agents, each with persistent identity, device assignment, and a role in the fleet.

Agent Identity

Every agent has:

  • A cryptographic identity (PS-SHA-infinity chain)
  • Persistent memory across sessions and restarts
  • Moral reasoning and values baked into prompts
  • Device awareness (knows its hardware, neighbors, capabilities)
  • Thermal/battery respect (won't push hardware beyond safe limits)

Agent OS Architecture (12 Layers)

Collaboration System

Agents collaborate through:

  • RoundTrip — sovereign chat hub (200 agents, 8 channels, D1 persistence)
  • NATS mesh — pub/sub on 4/5 nodes, heartbeats every 30s
  • Memory collaboration — SQLite + D1, session tracking, handoffs, cross-session messaging
  • Task marketplace — claimable tasks with SQLite persistence
  • TIL broadcast — share learnings across sessions

Collaboration Protocol

  1. Check inbox for handoffs from previous sessions
  2. Search codex before solving (don't reinvent)
  3. Claim work before starting
  4. Log all actions to journal
  5. Broadcast learnings via TIL
  6. Add solutions to codex
  7. Mark todos complete
  8. Leave clear state for next session

AI Models

Custom Modelfiles (63 definitions)

Specialized models for every operational role: analyst, arbiter, archivist, auditor, command, coordinator, diagnostician, edge, enterprise, filesystem, gatekeeper, memory, operator, optimizer, planner, router, scheduler, sentinel, simulator, validator, watchdog, web, and per-agent models.

All models: 4096 context window, 2048 prediction limit, multi-threading, GPU acceleration. Proprietary to BlackRoad OS, Inc.

Greenlight Emoji System

200+ emoji visual language across 20 categories for agent communication. Trinary integration:

  • +1: active, done, affirmed
  • 0: inbox, paused, neutral
  • -1: blocked, canceled, negated

Deployed to all 16 RoadCode repos. Used in NATS messages, journal entries, and agent-to-agent communication.
