Goal

Recognize individuals for their global contribution, give them a voice, and ultimately help steer Black Python Devs in the right that helps as many Black Python Devs members as possible.

This ensures a sense of Say it Loud! in our community by having trusted communication channels in our communities.

Qualifications of a community leader

Nominating community leaders

Any existing community leader can nominate a new community leader.

Any of the following will qualify you as a community leader

• Runs a chapter of a recognized Python Community
• Serves on the board or leadership team of Black Python Devs or recognized Python Community
• Serves as a project leader in a Black Python Devs intiative
• Serves as a moderator or working group member in Black Python Devs or recognized Python Community
• Agreed on by two existing community members

These recognitions are for current or previous holdings.

Right to removal

While Black Python Devs operates under the direction of the Executor. The community leadership has the right to remove the executor with 4/5 (80%) vote of the community leadership group. The following must exist before a vote for removal will be recognized.

• A signed Notice to Replace the Executor that also appoints the New Executor. If no new Executor has been selected the Vice Executor will assume the role until a vote can be taken.
• A member of the to GNOME correspondence team having notified the GNOME foundation of the intent to replace

This ensures that the executor is continuing to work in the best interest of the global community. It's understood that not every decision can impact all the members equally. This allows a way that if the community believes that the executor is not acting in their interest at large, they can be replaced.

It also gives you the ability to hear about things we're doing first and give your opinion on it, sign up to lead the initiative or (even better) make introductions and recommendations to folks that would benefit most from it.
