Spotify when driving app isn't highlighted and active?

Heya just wondering if anyone else experiences the same and is it as designed / limitation.

On iDrive6 - starting the car and have AAIdrive - spotify works and can go into it in Apps connected drive but as soon as you take off it becomes greyed out and doesn't work

That sounds like the restriction that BMW has put on Australian cars, where the phone apps get greyed out when the car isn't in Park. I haven't heard of any workarounds for it, unfortunately.
