Any way to use this for OSD?

Has anyone managed to make a Waybar on-screen display configuration? (By which I mean stuff like the volume/screen brightness popups on more common desktop environments). Having that information on the top bar works, but it's not necessarily useful to see it all the time; not to mention OSDs are better at catching your attention. I've seen OSD setups with stuff like EWW and AGS, but those are much more difficult to set up than Waybar, and Waybar already has basically every module I want from an OSD. So, can it be done?
