    <p class="paragraph">hello! i'm aadya matthew, currently a student at the university of california,
      san diego. i'm a biochemistry major with a minor in data science, and i intend to
      use these skills to enter the biotechnology and growing research fields. currently i've completed
      numerous courses in chemistry, biology, and computer science to advance my skills and hopefully grow
      into the biotech field as it rapidly changes due to the advent of artifical intelligence.

                <h2>cancer cell research</h2>
                <p>in collaboration with the university of bath dept. of life scieces,
                  i participated in hela cell research to conclude which anticancer
                drug presented was the most effective for increasing the rate of
              apoptosis in cancer cells. this was accompanied by an extensive research
            paper that included close image analysis for which i constructed an infographic
          to present at a science club. </p>

                <h2>textile waste reduction app development</h2>
                <p>in order to showcase my collaborative and coding skills, i participated in a challenge
                  that prompted teamwork and brought together a team of girls whom i led to create an app that
                  combats textile waste locally by suggesting thrift alternatives and educating users on how
                  to reduce purchases of fast fashion while promoting clothes donation and upcycling.

                <p>my internship at the university of hong kong encompassed many fields within public healthcare issues
                  encountered in hong kong, namely analysis of local diseases such as canton cancer, filtering and drawing
                  conclusions from data on obesity, and leading group projects to facilitate discussions using the pillars
                  of medical ethics.
